TEKNOSAFE 2407-00

TEKNOSAFE 2407-00 is a water-borne intumescent primer designed for the treatment of weathered wooden façades. The product is used as an industrial primer as part of a system called Teknos FR Façade to improve reaction to fire performance (EN 13501-1) of weathered wooden facades.

Substrate: Suitable for Nordic Spruce solid wood boards with a thickness of 19–57 mm and a density of 500 ±100 kg/m³ when taken in conjunction with the relevant fire classification report. Substrate suitability must comply with the relevant fire classification report when used as part of the Teknos FR Panel system. When applied as part of approved Teknos FR Façade systems, TEKNOSAFE 2407-00 fire retardant properties have been classified B-s1, d0 / B-s2, d0 according to EN 13501-1 (SBI test) in certain systems. Wooden façade products treated with the Teknos FR Façade opaque system meet the durability requirements of EN 16755, achieving DRF Class EXT for exterior use. The system also holds classification according to SP Fire 105 and provides fire resistance ratings K₁10 and K₂10. Before use, the manufacturer or technical service department should be consulted to confirm the product’s suitability for the specific substrate, coating system, and exposure conditions.
