Paula Salastie appointed CEO of Teknos Group

Teknos Group Oy's Board of Directors has appointed Paula Salastie Chief Executive Officer as Pekka Rantamäki continues as an advisor to the Group Board and the new CEO.

The majority owner of Teknos Group Oy Paula Salastie (née Kiikka), 36, takes over the company’s operations as the third-generation representative of the Kiikka family. Salastie has worked in the company since 1997 and led the Group Board since 2011. 

Salastie has started as CEO of Teknos Group on 16 April 16 2015 as Pekka Rantamäki continues as an advisor to the Group Board and the new CEO and will concentrate on company acquisitions and in others positions of trust until his retirement. Rantamäki has worked as CEO of Teknos Group since 2006.

”Pekka Rantamäki has done a great job as the CEO, and we are grateful to him for his commitment and contribution to the development of the company,” says Paula Salastie.

The change relates to the generation change in Teknos Group Oy’s ownership and management. Paula Salastie’s transition from the role of Chairman of the Board to the position of CEO is a natural continuance, and allows her to focus on the development of company's operational management work.

“My transition to the operative management of the company has been long in the planning. The timing is aligned to support the developing process of Corporate Management Group work. In this position I will be closer to the customers and have a better view of my company and the development of the industry,” Paula continues.

Ilpo Helander was elected the new Chairman of the Board of Teknos Group. He has been
a member of the Group Board since 2007.
