More performance with less environmental impact

Hi 2021 in Herning is not just about automation and machinery but also a good opportunity to see the latest coating solutions for the industry. Paint manufacturer Teknos will present process-optimized solutions for specific coating requirements in various areas, including construction, machinery, cargo and wind energy. The focus will be on sustainable coatings that increase product lifetime and help reduce VOC emissions and energy consumption.

hi Tech & Industri Scandinavia

At hi Tech & Industri Scandinavia (5-7 Oct, stand J7100), Teknos will show innovative polyurea coatings that cure within seconds, cause no VOC emissions and are extremely elastic and resistant. Visitors can learn about Teknos polyurea solutions for a wide range of applications from steel and concrete structures to roofs, transportation vehicles, offshore applications and many more. For machinery and cargo equipment, Teknos will present TEKNOPUR 300-800. The high-solid polyurethane coating can be applied direct-to-metal and wet-on-wet. As an advanced solution for corrosion protection, it offers excellent weather resistance and uncompromising colour and gloss retention. Another focus at hi Tech & Industri will be INFRALIT low temperature curing powder coatings. With zero VOC emissions and energy efficient curing, they support a fast, sustainable production process and are a state-of-the-art solution to protect machinery and heavy components.

Wind Energy Denmark

At Wind Energy Denmark (5 Oct, stand F0002), Teknos will present new versions of their ground-breaking leading edge protection (LEP) and blade repair solution TEKNOBLADE REPAIR 9000. Offering six times faster repair with less turbine downtime and longer maintenance cycles, this single-layer, fast-curing paint was one of the highlights at last Wind Energy Denmark. This year Teknos will present a new pigmented white version with even further increased resistance proved in rain erosion tests. Teknos present for the first time the new TEKNOBLADE REPAIR 9000-20 version for robot application, which has been developed in cooperation with Danish robot pioneer Rope Robotics. Experts from both Teknos and Rope Robotics will be present at the Teknos stand and look forward to demonstrating the robotised blade maintenance.

As a solution for boat landings, monopiles and foundations, Teknos will present the elastomeric polyurea coating TEKNOPUR 300-800. With its extremely high impact resistance and low water absorption in the paint, it increases the coating lifetime. The solution is proven in the field already, protecting the turbine foundations of the world’s largest offshore wind farm.

Following Wind Energy Denmark, Teknos will also be present at Technomania (6-7 Oct, stand F0002). As a company commited to an ambitious sustainability program aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals, Teknos will inform about latest technological trends in the paint industry and give examples of innovative solutions which avoid VOC emissions, reduce hazardous substances, increase the use of bio-based and recycled materials, and deal with resources more efficiently by increasing product lifetime and maintenance cycles.
