ALPOCRYL KLARLACK 5454 is a fast-drying, solvent-based, grain-accentuating 2C transparent coating for interior and exterior use. The coating is very weather-resistant and can also withstand mechanical stress. ALPOCRYL KLARLACK 5454 can also be used for ship interiors. The product can also be processed on spraying lines with forced drying.

When used as a flame retardant coating for seagoing ships according to SOLAS (International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea) 74/88 Reg. II-2/3, II-2/5 and II-2/6, latest version, IMO Resolution MSC.36(63)-(1994 HSC Code)7, IMO Resolution MSC.97(73)-(2000 HSC Code)7, this product can only be combined with other approved and technically suitable products. A risk assessment has been carried out according to Directive 2014/90/EU, Annex II, Section 3. The cured and dried coating poses neither a physical nor a health hazard, nor a hazard to the environment. When used in ship interiors, the maximum total product application quantity of 120 g/m2 should never be exceeded.

Surface preparation

Every substrate must be well-cleaned, dry and free from grease and oil. Coating removal: Sand, strip

Application

Stir or shake the product well for several minutes before use, if necessary by machine.

Application conditions

Recommended temperature for surroundings and product: +15°C-25°C. Do not apply below +10°C.

Storage

Storage temperature is +5°C - +30°C.

Aluminium and galvanised substrates: ALPOTECT PRIMER 5162-00 Steel: ALPOTECT PHOSPHATGRUND 5100-00 PVC profiles: Please refer to the instructions in the process data sheet "Instructions for PVC profiles with ALPOCRYL DP 5520, HR 5360 and LE 5393" (VTM 2519).
