Traditional old-fashioned Swedish red ochre paint. The paint provides a surface that breathes and will protect the wood in a natural way. Finish: full-matt.
Use: Unpainted sawed plank surfaces, unplaned timber surfaces and also surfaces previously painted with Swedish red paint, e.g. on granaries, outbuildings etc. TRANEMO RÖDFÄRG lets the walls breathe so that the moisture can evaporate through the walls. The paint is not suitable on planed surfaces or on surfaces that have been painted with other types of paints. Pigment: Iron oxide pigment. Binder: Boiled linseed oil abt. 7 % of total weight. Wheat flour abt. 6 % of total weight.
Surface preparation
UNTREATED SAWED PLANK AND ROUGH LOG SURFACE:
Remove from the surface all loose matter, dirt, dust and mildew. If needed, use RENSA FACADE facade cleaner.
SURFACES PREVIOUSLY PAINTED WITH RED OCHRE PAINT:
Remove with steel brush all loose paint from the surface. Wash very dirty or mildewed surfaces with RENSA FACADE facade cleaner or with RENSA ANTI-MOULD protection against mildew and rinse thoroughly.
Application
Apply by a broad brush.
Apply the paint in layers as thin as possible until good coverage has been achieved.
New surfaces are to be painted twice, surfaces previously painted with red ochre paint are to be painted once or twice.
TRANEMO RÖDFÄRG intended for brush application is not suitable for spray application.
TRANEMO RÖDFÄRG contains iron oxide pigment that is a natural pigment. Therefore little variations of colour might occur. Combine the different paint batches into a same vessel or use the natural lines e.g. corners.
NOTE! TRANEMO RÖDFÄRG contains iron sulphate that might dissolve from the painted surface and cause rust stains into light plastered or concrete socles. It might also yellow light wood surfaces.
Application conditions
During the application and drying period the temperature of the ambient air, the surface and the product shall be above +5°C and the relative air humidity below 80%.
The best weather for application is cloudy but dry.
Storage
Store in a cool place.
Must not freeze.
