DRYWOOD OPTIFINISH TR GL SV is a water-borne gloss translucent industrial intermediate and topcoat for interior and exterior wooden joinery and other wood constructions. The product can also be used as a primer.

Drywood Optifinish TR GL 114901-00 can be applied by Airmix (aircoat) or airless by hand or in automatic spraying equipment. Drywood Optifinish TR GL 114901-00 will typically be applied on substrates such as softwood, hardwood, Accoya and modified wood. All softwood and non-durable hardwood for exterior use should be treated with a wood preservative. When re-coating / re-treating an intermediate sanding must be carried out. It is recommended that Accoya intended for outdoor use is treated before priming with Drywood Improstain. Exterior durability of coating systems including Drywood Optifinish TR GL 114901-00 is typically documented according to BRL0814/0817.

DRYWOOD OPTIFINISH TR GL SV is a quick drying product with good penetration into the wood and good wet adhesion, high transparency, and excellent colour and gloss retention. The product has high durability, low water-uptake, and excellent water resistance, long lasting elasticity, high blocking resistance, and good scratch resistance. The product has nice filling and leveling properties, is easy to sand, and and has good overcoatability properties.

Surface preparation

The wood must be free from wood dust and contamination. The moisture content of the wood should be approx. 13% and should not exceed 15%. Pretreatment is required for wood substrates not meeting Durability Class 3, EN 350:2016. Storage temperature is +5°C - +30°C. Shelf life in unopened containers: See “Best before date” on the label. Keep containers tightly closed after use. Must not freeze.
