Full-matt air purifying interior ceiling paint

Air purifying water-borne acrylate paint for interior ceilings. Purifies indoor air by removing aldehydes and changing them into harmless compounds. Paint is easy to apply and it covers well. Finish: full-matt.

Suitable objects at homes are eg. living rooms, bedrooms and hallways and in public spaces and premises eg. hotel rooms and corridors, offices and class rooms. BIORA AIR CEILING ceiling paint can be used as primer and top coat on concrete, plaster, filler, brick and building board surfaces. Product's air purifying effect is based on its aldehyde binding properties. Functionality is tested in accordance with ISO 16000-23 standard, which is used to determine the performance of building materials in reducing formaldehyde concentrations from air. Testing was carried out by an independent laboratory.

Surface preparation

Clean new surfaces from dust and dirt. Wash previously painted surfaces with RENSA SUPER paint cleaner. Matt down hard or gloss surfaces by sanding and thereafter remove the dust. Remove all of the old paint from the surfaces which have been painted with glue paint or lime wash. For smoothing of irregularities in the surface choose a suitable filler from the SILORA series. The dried filler is sanded down and the dust removed.

Application

Stir thoroughly before use. Apply once or twice.

Application conditions

The surface to be treated must be dry. During the application and drying period the temperature of the ambient air, the surface and the product shall be above +5°C and the relative air humidity below 80%. Good ventilation during the application and drying period quickens the drying process.

Maintenance

The final forming of the film takes approx. 4 weeks under normal circumstances and after that the ultimate durability and hardness is reached. Before this the surface must be treated with care. Cleaning by moist wiping or with detergents damages the painted surface. Dry cleaning methods, such as careful wiping, brushing, vacuum cleaning etc., must be used for dirty surface.

Recommended safety precautions when using the product: Avoid unnecessary skin contact. Use work clothes to protect against paint splashes. Use eye protection to protect againts paint splashes.
