ALPOCRYL LH 5356 is a particularly fast-drying, solvent-based, satin-matt 2C enamel coating with excellent adhesion and high covering power. The coating is very weather-resistant and is also resistant to household chemicals and mechanical stress. ALPOCRYL LH 5356 can also be used for ship interiors. The product can also be processed on spraying lines with forced drying.

When used as a flame retardant coating for seagoing ships according to SOLAS (International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea) 74/88 Reg. II-2/3, II-2/5 and II-2/6, latest version, IMO Resolution MSC.36(63)-(1994 HSC Code)7, IMO Resolution MSC.97(73)-(2000 HSC Code)7, this product can only be combined with other approved and technically suitable products. A risk assessment has been carried out according to Directive 2014/90/EU, Annex II, Section 3. The cured and dried coating poses neither a physical nor a health hazard, nor a hazard to the environment. When used in ship interiors, the maximum total product application quantity of 150 g/m2 should never be exceeded.

Surface preparation

Every substrate must be well-cleaned, dry and free from grease and oil. Coating removal: Sand, strip

Application

Stir or shake the product well for several minutes before use, if necessary by machine.

Application conditions

Recommended temperature for surroundings and product: +15°C-25°C. Do not apply below +10°C. Relative air humidity max. 80%. The weather resistance rating applies to countries with Central European climate and up to 1000 metres altitude (m.a.s.l.).

Storage

Storage temperature is +5°C - +30°C. Store in a tightly closed container.

Note: When applying a white or pastel-coloured coating to surfaces subject to considerable wear we recommend overcoating with 2C clear coatings to improve ring resistance (metal wear). On MDF boards with a density of below 700 kg/m3 the surface must be pre-isolated with ALPOLAN UNIVERSALGRUND 2420-00. Strengthen the edges or milled grooves with ALPOLAN UNIVERSALGRUND 2420-00. Moisture-resistant wood based materials must be used for rooms with a high moisture exposure (e.g. kitchens, bathrooms etc.). This product should not be used on horizontal surfaces in these areas.

Clean up Wash the equipment immediately after use. VERDÜNNER 1000-98 or UNIVERSALREINIGER U 8600-98.
