KOMO certification
Ensuring the quality and safety of the products

High standards and assurance

KOMO is a Dutch certification foundation established in 1962 and has been internationally recognized for decades.

The KOMO certification is an international quality standard offering guarantees for both supply and demand sides of the construction industry. It's a trusted quality mark that contributes to quality and safety, declares suitability for use, and provides market confidence through external control. This certification facilitates the market significantly and enables insurance. The KOMO Quality Mark is 100% voluntary and independent, valued for its intrinsic qualities recognized by international market players.

The value of the KOMO Quality Mark is threefold: it guarantees quality assessed by an independent expert, allows providers to declare their products' quality and suitability, and some insurance companies in the Dutch market have reduced premiums for KOMO-certified products or processes.

The added value of the KOMO Quality Mark is threefold:

  1. It is a quality guarantee that has been objectively and repeatedly assessed by an independent expert party (certification institute).
  2. By carrying this quality mark, providers of products and services declare the quality and suitability for use of their products, meeting their customers' expectations and securing a privileged market position.
  3. Some insurance companies, active in certain Dutch or European markets, have lowered premiums when a product or realization process is KOMO-certified.

Additionally, the structure of the KOMO wooden facade elements concepts I, II, II+, III, and IV is mentioned, which can also be found on the KOMO website or on our Dutch websites. Ask from your local contact for more information and certification Teknos holds.
