AQUATOP 2600-69 is a water-borne, colourless, industrial topcoat for wood designated for exterior use such as windows and doors, which can also be tinted in translucent colours.
AQUATOP 2600-69 contains extra UV absorbers to maximize the coatings durability. Depending on the wood species, the appearance may become darker or lighter over time. Softwood may yellow/turn darker. Acetylated wood, Sapele and the like may fade/turn lighter. Before use, the manufacturer or technical service department should be consulted to confirm the product’s suitability for the specific substrate, coating system, and exposure conditions.

Surface preparation
The wood must be free from wood dust and contamination. The moisture content of the wood should be approx. 13% and should not exceed 15%. Pretreatment is required for wood substrates not meeting Durability Class 3, EN 350:2016.

The parts must be treated with an intermediate flow coat treatment to secure the surface to be fully closed before topcoat application.
Application conditions
Stir thoroughly before use.
Apply at temperatures between 15°C and 40°C, and humidity levels below 80% RH.
Film thickness – hardwood: 2 x 150 µm wet
Wet film range – softwood: 1 x 300 µm
Storage
The product must be stored at temperatures +5°C - +30°C. Shelf life in unopened containers: See “Best before date” on the label. Keep containers tightly closed after use.
