Durable parquet solution for kids sports activities

“Workers Home”, a  national building built in Kranj, Slovenia in 1924 was partially renovated recently to create new recreation space. The building has changed its overall appearance and purpose in nearly 100 years and it currently hosts many different shops, sports clubs and cafes for the people to relax and spend time together. New children’s sports center was established in the old cinema hall and Teknos was pleased to be part of this renovation project.

The old cinema was completely refurbished; the walls, ceilings and floors were redesigned and  renovated to serve the new purpose for sports center. The 40 year old beautiful herringbone parquet had to be rebuilt in order to secure a long lasting parquet for daily use. Teknos professional parquet lacquers were used for creating a durable, anti-slip resistant and smooth surface with a beautiful finish. 

The sports center provides a space for 45 different sports programs for 2-9 year-olds and an opportunity for morning and afternoon activities for kindergarten groups. A renewed parquet is now taken in use and it provides a durable and beautiful floor for kids to play on for many decades to come.
