As roofs are exposed to severe stress, it is very important to make annual check ups in what condition previously painted sheet metal or tile roofs are. Regular maintenance includes brushing off the impurities and washing if needed. If cracks in the paint film is noticed or tiles are weathered it is time for maintenance painting as soon as possible.
KIRJO® AQUA - A PAINT FOR SHEET METAL ROOFS
KIRJO AQUA is a waterborne, anticorrosive pigmented paint which gives excellent protection from corrosive climate effects. A flexible film coating also allows movement of the metal sheets. Water-borne KIRJO AQUA retains its colour extremely well, creating a matt finish. It is also the right choise for maintenance painting of industrially coated sheet metal. In addition to protecting sheet metal from corrosion you can enhance the building's appearance by selecting a suitable colour from Exterior colours collection.
PAINT DIRECTLY TO GALVANIZED METAL – NO PRIMER NEEDED
Unlike some systems, when painting galvanized metal, with KIRJO AQUA there is no need for weathering exposure. This means the galvanized surface does not need to be exposed to the atmosphere for a period of at least six months. KIRJO AQUA roof paint can be applied directly to new, properly prepared galvanized metal, without an additional primer. This saves time and money when you can paint the roof as soon as it is installed from the same scaffolding.
KIRJO® TILE - PROLONGS THE LIFE OF TILE ROOFS
At its best, the useful life of a tile roofs can extend to 50 years. Rain, sub-zero temperatures and other changes in weather decay and discolour the roof tiles. While washing, moss removal and protective treatment work for a while, painting results in a true improvement of profile.
The paint forms a protective coating impenetrable to moisture on the surface of a concrete brick. KIRJO TILE, developed for the maintenance painting of old concrete and cement roof tiles, protects the tile and keeps it clean. It allows for changing the colour of an old tiled roof to a more pleasant one or one that sits better in its surroundings.
KIRJO TILE is available in four premixed colours T2504 Graphite grey, T2510 Brick red, T2513 Brown and T2515 Black. Weather resistance is good and the colour retains unchanged for a long time.
