Powerful coverage for tough stains such as grease, ink, nicotine, soot and water damage. This hard-working primer has impressive hiding power and can be used on previously painted filler, concrete, building board, brick, plaster, wood and metal. It is easy to apply and dries fast, which means it can be overcoated on the same day.
TEKNOSPRO STOP comes in white with a full-matt finish for priming and blocking stains on all surfaces, it can also be used as a stain-blocking topcoat on ceilings. May also be used for blocking wallpapered surfaces before overcoating.
Surface preparation
Clean the surface from dirt and dust as well as possible. Wash water-resistant dirty surfaces with RENSA SUPER paint cleaner. Remove loose and poorly adhered coats of old paint. Matt down hard or gloss surfaces by sanding and thereafter remove the dust. For smoothing of irregularities in the surface choose a suitable filler from the SILORA series. The dried filler is sanded down and the dust removed.
TEKNOSPRO STOP is a water-borne paint. Coatings, which are not waterproof, such as old unpainted ceiling filler or glue paint coats, must be removed before applying TEKNOSPRO STOP.
Application
Stir thoroughly before use. Suitable airless nozzle size 0.017 - 0.021". Apply once. In the rare occasion that the stain is still visible in the first coat, paint a second coat after 4 hours. Top coating with a separate top coat after 4 hours.
Please note, that it is important during larger projects or longer pauses in the painting work to stir the paint every once in a while or close the lid of the can. Otherwise there is a risk of a minor film formation on the surface of the paint due to the fast drying time of the paint.
Application conditions
The surface to be treated must be dry. During the application and drying period the temperature of the ambient air, the surface and the product shall be above +5°C and the relative air humidity below 80%. Drying is faster in low air humidity and/or above + 21°C. Application will be easier if air is humidified and/or temperature is lowered in the working space. Ventilation after the painting will quicken the drying.
