TEKNOSAFE FLAME GUARD 2477-00 is a water-borne intumescent primer and paint designed for interior solid wood panelling, cladding, and wood-based panels. The product is used as an industrial coating as part of the Teknos FR Panel system to improve the reaction-to-fire performance (EN 13501-1) of interior wooden surfaces.

Substrate: Solid wood or wood-based panels with thickness > 8 mm and density ≥ 338 kg/m³ when taken in conjunction with the relevant fire classification report. Substrate suitability must comply with the relevant fire classification report when used as part of the Teknos FR Panel system. Used as an industrial primer or paint as part of a system called Teknos FR Panel with TEKNOSAFE FLAME PROTECT 2478-00 to improve “reaction to fire” (EN 13501-1) of interior wooden surfaces. When applied as part of approved Teknos FR Panel systems, TEKNOSAFE FLAME GUARD 2477-00 provides fire performance classified as B-s1, d0 according to EN 13501-1 (SBI test). Products treated within the Teknos FR Panel system meet durability requirements according to EN 16755, achieving DRF Class INT1 and DRF Class INT2. Before use, the manufacturer or technical service department should be consulted to confirm the product’s suitability for the specific substrate, coating system, and exposure conditions.
