Teknos Treffert denies rumours of company sale

This statement serves to confirm that there is no truth to the unsubstantiated rumour that Teknos Treffert has been acquired by any company. This information is false and in contrary to market or industry speculations, Teknos Treffert has never offered to sell off the company nor the intention of doing so.

Since May 2017, Teknos Treffert or Teknos Feyco is now part of Teknos Group. Teknos completed the acquisition of Feyco Treffert as announced on 11 April 2017 and subsequently closed the deal on 2 May 2017. The acquisition is an important part of Teknos’ growth strategy. The acquisition covers the companies of Feyco AG (Switzerland), and Treffert Coatings GmbH with its head office in Alzenau, Germany, together with their subsidiaries in China, Malaysia (SEA markets), and the USA.
As a full-fledged subsidiary of the Teknos Group, the Malaysian office has successfully changed the company name to Teknos Treffert (M) Sdn. Bhd. effective from 1 July 2018. Along with this company name change, a new brand logo has also been adapted in its office stationeries, promotional materials, product packaging and other communication touch points.

Teknos is one of Finland’s largest family-owned businesses. It is headed by CEO Paula Salastie, who currently represents the third generation of the Kiikka family. The acquisition is of Feyco Treffert was an important part of Teknos’ growth strategy. Teknos will remain as family business and has no intention of selling the Group nor its subsidiaries but continue to grow.

The South East Asian market is one of Teknos’ strategic focus areas with strong sales and growth year-on-year and will continue to be an excellent and important market for Teknos Group. Teknos is strongly committed and has a long-term plan to grow the Asia market with innovations in coatings and business solutions under the brand name of Teknos that will benefit customers, consumers and society at large.
