Teknos is committed to building local communities:

Paying It Forward

Being a family-owned company, continuity is utterly important to us, and it affects all our actions. We want to make choices, which bear to the next generations to come and to build a company, which the future generations will be proud to lead and be a part of. We are thrilled to announce the launch of Teknos – Paying it Forward - a financial aid program to support well-being of children under 18 years old. We invest in future generations which is one of our Corporate Social Responsibility focus areas.

One of Teknos Malaysia staff nominated a primary school in Perlis, Malaysia - Sekolah Kebangsaan Abi to be the beneficiary under this program. The school has expressed the need to enhance their Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) Room with new IT hardware and equipment to enhance the interactive learning experience for students. It makes them excited to learn more— especially STEM subjects. This is so because computers at school make it easy to deliver STEM education compared to traditional textbook/notebook method.

Teknos has made a donation to support the School by incorporating technology effectively into their teaching practices and methods to enhance the learning experience for the students. "On behalf of the School and Students from Sekolah Kebangsaan Abi, I would like express our gratitution and thanks to Teknos for the donation. We have used the money to purchase a brand new computer and printer for our STEM Learning Room." said Mohd Faisal Bin Salim STEM Coordinator & Teacher of Sekolah Kebangsaan Abi. Doubtless, it is essential for students to acquire basic computer skills that equip them with the knowledge to operate a computer, such as sending emails, conducting Internet research, creating word processing documents and creating presentations. "One of the advantages of using and learning computers in school is that it makes students future-ready. Whatever the students want to do in the future- business or job, computers are essential at every place and learning computers at a very early age gives them the confidence to be ready to take up any challenging role that life might show them. This is definitely aligned with our Teknos sustainability focus area in Future Generation - thinking in the society and to invest in local communities." said Wanda Smith, Managing Director of Teknos Malaysia.

Teknos Targets in building Future Generation:

• 100% of Teknos entities support or participate in local community activities by 2025.
