Say 'Helo' to the new range of waterborne varnishes from TeknosPro

Helo Aqua 20 40 80

Helo Aqua is a new range of waterborne varnishes from TeknosPro. Really easy-to-apply, the coating is highly durable and dries so quickly that an overcoat can be added after just an hour. Several layers can be applied in one day thereby saving time and money.

The range includes three gloss-level alternatives: Helo Aqua 20 is the semi-matt option, Helo Aqua 40 is semi-gloss and Helo Aqua 80 gives a high- gloss finish. All three gloss levels are suitable for treating both interior and exterior wooden surfaces and typical applications include wooden floors and stairs, doors, kitchen units, furniture, and wall and ceiling panels. Outdoors, tinted Helo Aqua can be used for the transparent varnishing of doors and window frames, for example. Helo Aqua produces a clear finish but may be tinted – from a choice of 45 tints - to give transparent colours if desired. The varnish has good light resistance and will not yellow like other varnishes.

Helo Aqua has a coverage rate of 8-12m2/litre by brush or 12-15m2/litre when applied by sponge. Unlike solvent-based varnishes, it is a low-odour water-based formulation producing very low levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Maximum VOC is 140g/litre.

Since Helo Aqua is water-based, brushes, sponges and spray equipment used to apply it are easily cleaned with detergent and water. Helo Aqua is supplied in 0.9 litre, 2.7 litre and 9 litre tins and is part of a new range of paints and coatings launched under the new TeknosPro brand.

Building on Teknos’ established position as the leading supplier of specialist joinery coatings in the UK and Ireland, the TeknosPro range is designed for professional tradesmen. The range includes paints, stains and varnishes for internal walls and ceilings as well as metal and wood surfaces.
