Door specialist DOORS d.o.o. relies on Teknos coating systems
Located in the Slovenian town of Bled, some 40 kilometres north-west of the capital Ljubljana, DOORS d.o.o. is a leading manufacturer of entrance doors in Slovenia. The company was founded in 2003 as a spin-off of LIP Bled d.o.o., and has over 50 years’ experience manufacturing doors. With over 40 employees, DOORS develops, produces and sells high-quality entrance doors made of wood and wood-aluminium.

The range of products covers a wide selection of various product lines and designs, from traditional models to modern combinations of wood & glass and wood & aluminium, along with special purpose doors and side entrance doors. DOORS focuses primarily on high-quality doors with advanced security features and excellent insulation, offering entrance doors that meet the energy-efficient ‘Passivhaus’ standard and provide burglary protection according to DIN EN 1627. DOORS collaborates with window manufacturers in Slovenia and other countries, and keeps abreast of the latest trends and customer requirements. State-of-the-art production
DOORS uses only high-quality materials and latest technology to produce its products. The company recently invested in a new CNC system for rapid and cost-effective element production, and in new coating technology with infrared drying and hardening. Thanks to this new equipment, the company can quickly and economically handle individual customer orders. DOORS currently manufactures some 3,000 entrance doors per year.
Coatings by Teknos
The Slovenian Teknos branch in Škofja Loka supplies DOORS with a complete coating system. High quality, however, is not the only reason why the entrance door specialist opted for Teknos coatings: “Teknos impressed us with its flexibility and responsiveness,” says Aleš Jerala, Managing Director of DOORS. “Since we manufacture doors exclusively to customer orders, we use a great deal of non-standard colours and shades, and Teknos has been a great help here.”
