Main goals of the job

  • A hands-on role, performing, leading and developing the work within quality, health, safety and environment for the US operation
  • Perform all Quality Control (QC) laboratory activities regarding the sampling and testing of all assigned materials, in-process and finished products and stability samples using current approved analytical methods
  • Perform all required testing associated with protocol and studies (e.g., Cleaning validation samples, investigation samples), new product launches and development project
  • Perform all equipment qualification, calibration and maintenance activities associated with all assigned laboratory instruments
  • Your responsibility also includes continually updating and improving our qc system so that it meets ours and our customers' needs and complies with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and ISO 17025 for the company's accredited laboratory
  • You have the overall responsibility for driving the quality work and will be responsible for ensuring that quality problems arising are identified and remedied in an effective manner
  • In addition to ensuring that our operations meet the requirements of ISO 14001, the Quality and Environmental Manager coordinates all the Corporate Social Responsibility work within Teknos US. This work is becoming increasingly important within the framework of our customers, our employees and other important stakeholders and is a key strategy goal of the company

Daily tasks and responsibilities

  • Perform QC analysis of raw materials, in process and finished goods according to standard operating procedures
  • Responsible for timely analysis and results reporting of all production testing
  • Evaluate test results to determine basic adjustments required of products in process
  • Maintain accurate records of test results
  • Evaluating alternative raw materials
  • Colour matching
  • Maintain and develop current business systems
  • Responsible for, and participate in, internal and external audits
  • Establish, revise, review, and approve procedures, instructions, and specifications
  • Consideration and monitoring of legal requirements, rules, directives and standards that affect the business and our processes
  • Work on quality and environmental management linked to constant improvements
  • Feedback results and deviations related to the business goals
  • Participation in the Teknos' QEHS group
  • To be responsible for coordinating the investigation work in customer complaints and to be driving this work towards the manufacturing units within the Group.
  • Contact person in relation to regulatory authorities regarding environmental issues and certification bodies in connection with audits.
  • Liaise and negotiate with internal stakeholders' suppliers and manufacturers
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints
  • Supervise, coach and train manufacturing workforce for QHES efficiency improvements
  • Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
  • Work independently, organize and prioritize multiple projects, troubleshoot and solve problems with minimal supervision


  • Ability to perform light duty work including lifting a minimum of 25 lbs
  • Experience colour matching would be beneficial
  • Previous experience of ISO 9001 & 14001 would be advantageous
  • Our group language is English, it is important that you feel comfortable speaking and writing in English
  • LEAN / Six Sigma / 5S​
  • High School Diploma or Higher
